Wow. Honestly, the best show I think I've ever attended in terms of visiting an agricultural shows. I felt it had so much more to offer than the Royal Welsh. Although the Royal Welsh definitely has a larger showground, there's so much packed into Malvern.

Horse lovers dream

I thought the horse rings were really great. I loved the working hunter rings. Anyone reading this will probably know I'm a fan of working hunter ponies, and I thought the workers ring was excellent. I loved the mini Derby bank. The rings were also great for the flat classes and the in-hand classes, and such a great selection of classes and qualifiers. The actual pure show jumping ring was beautiful, it felt like a mini Hickstead. Really great show for horses.

Beyond horses

Moving away from horses, there was lots of great shopping and a really good food and drink hall. I was pleasantly surprised by how good the food hall was. I picked up some really fun items there. Then they had the hound show, which is always great fun to watch.

I didn't see much of the livestock showing, but there was plenty for those who wanted to watch that. The horticulture and crafts section was really interesting and well put together. They also had a really fun sheep shearing competition and a main ring, with lots of excellent events including parachuting!

All in all, it was a truly great show. I honestly can't wait to go back next year, and the backdrop of the Malvern Hills is just so pretty.
