Honestly, I love so much about it. I love being in the ring competing. I don’t care if I'm propping up the end of the line. I think there's not a better feeling in the world than being in the ring.

Coming close to that is being at a county show watching the working hunter ponies, especially the mountain and moorland working hunter ponies. I just adore going to county shows and watching, looking around, again it’s the atmosphere. I think the atmosphere is what I really love about showing.

I enjoy going to the larger showing events with big trade stands as well. I love going to Horse of the Year Show and Olympia (London International Horse Show) - it will always be Olympia in my mind!

I also love some of the Facebook groups about vintage showing and native ponies of yesteryear. I am absolute history nerd so that sort of thing is right down my street! Caroline Ackrill has some amazing books about showing in years gone by. "Not Quite a Horse Woman" is absolutely worth a read.

I fell in love with showing at 3 years old, mainly because of the pretty browbands but oh gosh has that developed over the years and I really hope it will continue to!
